Now that Actar’s gotten his figma Reimu…

Now that Actar’s gotten his figma Reimu, it’s time to fulfill what I planned to do earlier on.

After reading his post, it’s good that he’s decided to go onto the background about what is “official” and the bits where he mentions fan work.  Because, if he didn’t, I’d be guessing he’d slip into one of his Actar-isms, and that’s going to make him prime for the chopping block.

So instead of gutting him, chopping him to bits and leaving him out to dry, I’ll just… cut him a bit until I’m satisfied or until my obsessive-compulsive tendencies suddenly snap back to moderation.

That being said, his review was done properly for the most part.  I can’t say the same for when he reviews thru video; he just keeps on going and going redundantly.  Though, his closing comments are what you’d usually expect of figma anyway. After all, the QC they do ensures those kinds of descriptions.

Now, if Actar decides to cough up a video review, it’s likely we’ll see his Actar-isms again and that’s gonna increase my urge to utterly gut him on his own turf.

As for the upcoming figma Marisa, I’ll give him points if he starts talking about what it lacks.

Stress and Breakage While Shooting II.

Yes, another broken part on Den Yda. As usual, it ended up being on the armor piece.

First couple days into the New Year and I get a nasty break like this. I’d probably shot down my grade from D to E now.

New Year Rolling In

I’m hoping I can do better shooting this year, even with added priorities like doing art.  Looking back at the previous year, I could pinpoint exactly where things started going wrong.  I was still doing fine around May to June, with my photos and a large backlog to upload up to today.  Certainly, there were a lot of great takes there, but I haven’t uploaded them.

Wow, I was really plastered last night. I think I mixed my cocktails too hard, because after the second drink, I couldn’t remember anything anymore and I found myself in a Zaku II being chased for hours on end by a crazy woman riding a Gundam.

SWEA – 28th Annual Swedish Christmas Festival

I’ve been meaning to go this event for quite some time now.  Since I didn’t drop by the Winter Magic event at Elm street last Friday, I decided to make up for lost activity by going to this one.  I really wanted to check out what Elm street had to offer that day, but I was totally pooped out when I got home and I ran out of energy to even step out of the house.  So, I wanted to recoup my stamina and try for a weekend event.

Honestly, I arrived late at the parade, about more than half an hour since it had began. Before I did show up however, I scouted along the parade route using Google Street View in order to survey places where I could have a high vantage point to shoot from.

I worked with the assumption that the crowd lining the parade would be very thick and make it very hard to shoot.

Now that Actar’s gotten his new loot…

…I’m absolutely thrilled and waiting to be horrified.
